Adobe Flash Player installer for Windows 7 downloads fine but when opened does not start the installation process. The program just opens and a grey box appears without any text or error messages. Windows 7/ Firefox Plugin

Try going here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html

At the bottom of the page there are the OFFLINE installers. Pick the one you need.

Make sure all browsers are closed after you downlo0ad it

install it

Let try that first please.

Hi michaelh76661339,

We are aware of some issues with the installer on Windows 7 systems.  You're issue is a bit different than recently reported issues.  I'd like to get some log files from you to investigate further.  Please do the following:

  1. Create an empty text file named ADM.trace inside your %temp% directory (C:\Users\<YourUserID>\AppData\Local\Temp\).  The file extension itself is .trace, not .txt or anything else.
    • To create the empty text file, navigate to the %temp% directory, right-click in an empty area and select New > Text Document
    • Rename the new file to ADM.trace
  2. Launch the online installer again until it stops
  3. Locate the Adobe_ADM.log and Adobe_GDE.log files inside the Adobe_ADMLogs directory in the %temp% directory
  4. Upload both of the files in this directory using the instructions here How to share a document
  5. Post the link to the files in your reply.

Also, what graphics card do you have in your system?

Thank you.
