Having trouble installing the newest update for Flash Player version (18.0.0.209) ... updating from version 18.0.0.194.

ISSUE: After several tries only to receive a script error pop-up ...

"an error has occurred on the script on this page" - line 202 - chart 13 - unable to set property "innerHTML" or undefined or null reference - Code 0 ... then lists a long URL.

Windows 7 64-bit operating system - Java has already been updated & running properly.

I have checked the older version of Flash Player installed - it's also working properly - Active X filtering has always been off.

NOTE ~ ( Never had any issues with past installations of any software/programs on this PC ).

Thanx in advance to anyone that can help on the install.

Try using the offline installers from https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#main-pars_te... (under the heading Still having problems?).

Hi xxnemesisxx,

We've started seeing this error recently and are investigating the issue.  I'd like to get the verbose log file from you.  Please do the following:

  1. Create an empty text file named ADM.trace inside your %temp% directory (usually located atC:\Users\<YourUserID>\AppData\Local\Temp\). The file extension itself is .trace, not .txt or anything else.
    1. To create the empty text file, navigate to the %temp% directory, right-click in an empty area and select New > Text Document
    2. Rename the new file to ADM.trace
  2. Run the online installer again until it stops
  3. Go to C:\Users\<YourUserID>\AppData\Local\Temp\Adobe_ADMLogs and upload the two files,Adobe_ADM.log and Adobe_GDE.log, using the How to share a document instructions
  4. Post the URL to the uploaded log files in your reply.

Thank you.
