I'm trying to update flash player on a PC running Windows 8.1 and Firefox. The installer downloads, when I run the installer, it comes up connection failure.

Can anyone help me with this problem?  I have made sure that my connection is stable, tried different locations.

Try the offline installers:

Uninstall first

SCROLL down to the bottom of that page and pick your flavor (NPAPI for Firefox ( Note that ActiveX version will NOT install on Windows 8 , you should run Windows Update to get that version for Win8.X))
