I am having trouble updating Adobe Flash from Firefox on Windows Vista.

There's a screen that pops up that says "Installation will begin shortly."

Then nothing happens for almost 5 minutes, and it stays at 0%.

Lets try using the manual installation or also known as the offline installer.

Go to this page:

Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows

Go to the bottom and choose the version for Firefox and download it.

Close Firefox all windows.

Verify that the following processes are not running using task manager

flashplayer*  ; meaning anything with the process of flash player

plugin-container

force close the weather channel desktop app if you have that

I don't see links to installers from the link Carm01 provided me.

Here is what the adobe installation page tells me whenever I've tried to update it the same way it's told me to download it:

Adobe Flash Player could not be installed.
