I have placed a sound file within an InDesign document, which I intend to export as an epub. Although I have specified that the poster for the sound file should be hidden, when I export it as a test epub and view it in IBooks the poster is clearly visible.
Can anyone help?
You need to remove the poster from the frame and give it small dimensions (5x5 px or even 1x1 px). The controls always show. Therefore you need to set the width of the frame in the object export options. However this feature is not well thought, neither complete in InDesigns ePub export and you often need to tweak the CSS manually in case of multimedia files.
Great, I'll do that.
Not a great solution but sometimes it works for me in iBooks. I always use a layer 'sound' as the lowest layer and try to hide the sound frame behind another part of my design.
