I have purchased a disk for CS2 and attempted to load it up to my new MacBook Pro but as it is a new kind of computer it won't load. If I obtained a serial number for the CS2 to CS5 upgrade and logged into the Adobe website would I be able to load the CS5 without having the CS2 on my computer by using the serial number of both the CS2 disk and the CS5 upgrade ? Does CS5 even work on a Mac with Yosemite 10.10 ?

I'm on Windows, but have a few saved Mac links that may help

Mac 10.10.4 possible fix (at least for Premiere Pro) https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1891705

Mac 10.10.? sometimes has problems, often related to "default" permissions needing to be changed

CS2 doesn't qualify for an upgrade and Adobe don't sell CS5 anyway so I see little chance of finding a way to do it.
