I'm making a 300x250 banner and made 1 sprite sheet that's a PNG and 1 background image that's a JPG. So I have a total of 2 images. The font isn't a system font so I put the text into the sprite sheet. The problem is the text in the sprite sheet isn't totally crisp. What I want to do is put all the text into an SVG file which means I will have to have 3 image files.
So is having the banner make 3 image request to many for a banner ad?
This is going to be an ad on a heavy traffic site and I don't want to slow peoples load time unnecessarily.
This is a question for the ad agency ..they might put a limit on how many files you can pull in.
doubleclick ad serving says the limit is 10 images. I'm just wondering if 3 images sounds like is a big deal to anyone.
