ups shipping rates realtime

How do you get shipping quotes from ups? Do you ever have issues with ups never returning a shipping rate? If so, what did you do to workaround this?

Thanks for that. That open source code by Raymond Camden and others looks very well done and thorough. It appears that the problem we were having might be due to the fact that we were not validating zip codes and was entirely our fault. It was hard to see what was going on because we were using jQuery's getJson function to return the results and the error message was hidden. I eventually found the error using the net and xhr tab in Firefug. It looks like address verification is built into this application on riaforge.
