Hi, I'm trying to copy a text string from previous PDFs created from emails to a Word Doc, but when I copy the text from the PDF and paste it to Word, I get the following mish-mash:
+, -+.*///$01* 2#"-0 instead of the text 1548-458BHG-55268 that's in my PDF. The text strings are registration codes from emails of my other software that I'm copying to word. Just wondering if someone can help me solve this. It might be some sort of security setting I'm missing. Thanks.
these PDFs were written a while ago. I opened my email at the time, selected Print, chose PDF-Xchange (that was another PDF program I was using), and printed my email to PDF. Now when I open the same PDFs with Acrobat and select the text to copy, and paste it, the text isn't copied. Instead, I get this jumbled data as shown above. That's it.
I just tried to copy-paste from a PDF opened by Symatra, and no problem. The text copied from the Sumatra PDF to Word, no worries. So there's a setting issue or bug with Acrobat. Just need to find what it is. Cheers.
