With the version jump of fp esr from 13 to 18 I'm trying to find information on whether we need to do extensive testing on the new flash player 18 esr release, but it doesn't seem clear to me if the new esr version is identical to the full version, or if it is just 13 esr with a new number and the latest security fix. Does anyone know where to find information about this?
Hi m2cv,
Yes, ESR version 18.0.0.232 contains all features and security fixes. Full release note, for every single version released is available here Flash Player Help | Release Notes.

Thanks! That was clarifying, as it was not easy to get that from the various announcements I have read. Really appreciated

You're welcome, m2cv.
We do periodically update the ESR version and make an announcement prior to updating allowing customers to test prior to the release. When ESR versions are updated they contain all features, bug fixes, and security fixes implemented since the previous ESR version (meaning the ESR is the same as the non-ESR release).

Another question regarding Flash Player ESR. I'm confused on what the ESR version really contains, only security fixes or the same as the non-ESR release. I found this information and it conflicts on what you are saying. Why would we deploy ESR compared to the non-ESR release then?

Hi remmal,
My comment was in reference to updating the ESR version from one major version to another, which is the original question in this thread. When the ESR version was updated from version 13 to version 18 it contained all of the features, bug fixes, and security fixes that have been implemented since the first 13 ESR version. Meaning we weren't simply bumping up the version number from version 13 to version 18. All updates to the ESR version since version 18.0.0.232 have only contained security fixes, as outlined in the screenshot you posted. They have not contained any new features or non-security bug fixes.
