i have downloaded the most recent flashplayer on my laptop and followed the steps on google chrom and it will not show me it as a plug in please help

Hi robertb48568007,

Google Chrome embeds Flash Player PPAPI plugin and releases the update via Chrome updates.  Are you trying to install the Flash Player NPAPI and use it in Chrome?  If so, Google has disable the NPAPI plugin by default (and will be deprecating it completely in September).  In the mean time, you can manually temporarily enable the NPAPI plugin. See NPAPI plugins don't work on Chrome version 42 and higher - Chrome Help for more information.
