Well, Presenter 8 was never made to work with PPT 2013. PPT 2010 was the current version when it was released, Presenter 9 brought about support for PPT 2013.

I'm not saying this is the cause, but it should be considered in the trouble shooting. Does this issue exist in a single presentation or all your presentations? Have you tried saving as PPT or PPTX (whichever it isn't) and seeing if that helps.

I'm sure its because as you said 8 isn't able to run on 2013 powerpoint.  And I'm not ready to make the jump to 10.  was hoping for a simple solution

Do you have the option of using PPT 2010? That may solve the problem.

Everything worked. So I'm sure it's 2013 PowerPoint

Was hoping that there still might be some support yet for us slow people

Thanks for your help

Part of my problem is my Presenter is part of the Elearning suite 6.1 and it only have presenter 8. That’s why I was hoping for continued support for version 8 and PowerPoint 2013
