Hi,

I have noticed that WebHelp creates relative links in its pages. This is proving to be a problem for the development team. It would be easier for them if I could produce webhelp with Absolute links. Is this possible?

You can by code into the code but I wouldn't like to guarantee it will not get rewritten by RH. Maybe it would be better to explain why relative paths are a problem for your developers and then perhaps we can come up with something that works for everyone.

I was hoping it would be something to do with calling the help. Not sure what you mean by exporting javascript but I don't think that matters. On images and style sheets, is the developer planning on exporting those to be displayed/used within RH topics?

If yes, you might want to post back as it could cause problems. Tell us more about why this approach is being taken.

Our developers would like to create multiple versions of Help in various languages. They would like to have designated folders containing javascript, style sheets, images etc so that each webhelp project can share these files. Is this likely to be possible?

This can be done but it does depend on what languages are being considered, what version of RH you are using, whether you have the services of a translation agency on stand-by ect.

Yes. But not in RH. All the javascript, .css, image files are located in each project. You could either store them separately so that anyone could import them into their RH project or setup a blank RH project that contains them all that people can use to create a new help file.
