Problems with DE locking up on Windows 10; opens OK, scrolls, copies, highlights, then it locks up every time.: library button doesn't work; scroll eventually stops; refuses to delete a file/book:so now what?

Had 4.0 on my Windows 10 OS running. Did not run well. Opened fine (it seemed). Then it locked up.

Just downloaded 4.5 version just to see if the update solved anything--still no joy--it locks up just as the other version.

System: Running x64bit opr..system, Windows 10, processor Intel i7 930 @2.80GHrtz; 6GB.
