Hiding the nav pane at startup

How do I automatically suppress display of the nav pane in webhelp? I'd like
the help to open with the nav pane hidden. I know I can just fire off the
individual topic and rely on the Show link, but I'd really prefer to have the
help open in the skin so that the nicer controls are available.

This is easy to do with a chm file, but darned if I can figure out how to do
it in webhelp. I must be missing something. Any suggestions?

Thx,
G

Hi G

Do you by chance have a copy of my Skinny on Skins handy? If so, I believe I've documented how to accomplish this inside. If you don't have it, you may download your very own copy by Clicking this magickal link.

Cheers... Rick

I do indeed have your skinny on skins...I knew I was missing something! This is just what I needed -- thank you, Rick! I've tested it, and it's working fine.

Do you have any additional info or comments on the amount of delay time? I'm wondering if setting the time as low as possible would help or if it might backfire on me.
