Wont let me open up digital editions and authorize my second computer. When I type in my adobe ID, i get th following message "you can only authorize this computer with an AdobeID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile

I have adobe digital editions authorized on one computer. I was told I cn authorize up to 6 and this would be convenient for me to be able to read my purchases on various computers. It is not working, while i am trying to authorize my second computer/device i get the following message "you can only authorize this computer with an AdobeID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices. Try again.".  this is beyond super frustrating.
