No I don't want to update my OS as many other apps will not work on a new OS.
Please tell me how I can get an update to LR 5.
Surely I can purchase a legitimate license key? otherwise, I just won't buy and upgrade at all.

So sorry, didn’t' mean to be rude in my reply. I thought it was Adobe getting back to me.
I really don't want to change my OS, for reasons of other apps needing upgrades etc and backwards compatibility. I really don't understand Adobe starting out with a new version which would work on Mountain Lion ...then with updates, will no longer work with the same OS.
Looks like I'll be staying with version 4 if I can't find a legit source for 5.7.
Thanks for answering, and again, sorry if my reply seemed curt.
That's fine,I can understand the Frustration and You did'nt sound Rude.
You can still buy Lightroom 5 from Some Online resellers (Not recommended as you will miss many new features added to Lightroom 6)
Do a Search of "Buy Adobe Lightroom 5" on Google and it would come up with Popular Verified Online resellers
thanks Akash, unfortunately, I've been doing that for the last few hours and haven't found a source that I can buy from here in Australia. and the prices i've found are for the full version not an upgrade...and are all higher than version 6
You can buy any version of LR 5.x and update it to LR 5.7 from the Adobe Updates page: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
However, Adobe only sells version 6, now, so you'll have to find your own source for LR 5.x. In the US I would look on the online source of Amazon or a brick-and-mortar store Best Buy.
