My ADE 3 has stopped recognising acsm format  and shows a message   error check activation when I drag a purchased book over. It always did before     Windows 10 and still works perfectly well with ePub etc.  The P.C  says that it has associations with acsm so it must be something wrong inside ADE. I should add that I have twice tried uninstalling the programme and re authorising  it.

I have the same problem but I am using a Mac computer.  I was told to do this, however I do not have access to whatsoever to authorize now:

  1. Choose Utilities > Open Keychain Access Application.
  2. Select the login keychain and unlock it by clicking the padlock icon next to it.
If you do not remember the keychain password, see Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X.
  3. On the right side, there's a list of applications. Double-click Digital Editions.
  4. Select the Access Control Menu.
  5. Select Allow All Applications To Access This Item and save changes.
  6. Launch Digital Editions and you can authorize now.

Quick Digital Editions.
Remove /Users/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions/activation.dat (Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 and later)
Open Digital Edition AND now authorize again.

The trouble is that I keep getting replies based on Apple MAC whereas my problem is on Microsoft Windows 10. I am still hoping for someone to help!
