Hi! I have a book with six topics (pages) within each. All of the topics have the same imported background that work beautifully when compiled, but there is one topic that does not seem to be taking the background. Are there any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong? Thanks!

Hi techwriter918

I'd be looking closely at the HTML code behind the page. Odds are that you have either an embedded or in-line style overriding your style sheet.

Look at the HTML code near the top. You will probably see something beginning with <style> and ending with </style>. Delete what you find there including the tags I listed. (Don't sweat the possibility of ruining your style sheet link. That's a simple fix if you do.

Now look at the <Body> tag and see if anything follows. If so, strip away the additional info so the tag says simply <body>.

Be sure to save the changes!

Hopefully something here was useful... Rick

Thanks, it worked perfectly. If I could trouble you more, why would this happen?

Hi again

Sorry for the delay. I'm currently conducting a RoboHelp HTML class and it's finally lunchtime.

There are many reasons this may happen. The most likely is that someone changed what they thought was the style sheet, but inadvertently elected to only modify the topic in question. Another thought is the topic was imported from Word or elsewhere and something about that process sort of hard coded the image (or lack thereof).

Sorry I can't be more definitive than that, but without knowing all the pertinent details, it's hard to hazard a guess.

Cheers... Rick
