ADE old email no longer access, and I also can not remember the password. so what should I do ?

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Standard Vista OS  installed 9 years ago just fresh installed on same laptop new HDD. Can't remember ID or old email at .edu address.  have original case and disks but wont allow me to access photoshop without signing on.  Any help out there?

1. Quit Adobe Digital Editions.
2. Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash.
   If you are using 10.7, see Access hidden library files | Mac OS 10.7 and later.
3. Open Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorize.
