FAQ:  What should I do if Creative Cloud prompts me for a serial number?

There is no need for a serial number for software included with Creative Cloud membership. Instead, Creative Cloud requires that an Adobe ID (email) be associated with your membership.

If you are prompted for a serial number when trying to use Creative Cloud, please see this link: CC Prompts for a Serial Number

Entries in the computer’s host file can also prevent access to Adobe services.  If you still have an issue, please run the ”Fix Host File option” within the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to modify the entries.
