How can I get Digital Editions to close?

I have Windows 10.  My Digital Editions will not close whether I try to "x" out or go to "File/Exit".  I get the dialog box, "cannot copy".  I am not nor have I tried to copy any book I have in Digital Editions.  I don't know how to delete the content either.  How to do I close the program with these issues ongoing?
