i have an id and password for Adobe which allows me to login in to the Adobe site, when i try to install the flash player it wont let me change to my adobe login and keeps asking for a password I don't know and has no provision for changing the flash player install passord. i would drop Adobe Flash Player but some of my MAC programs & apps require the new install to run.

yyour answer got me to the solution - the password it asked for is the computer password NOT the Adobe password or the Apple OS password. Thank you. the installation does not want the Adobe user name.
