Revision Dates

How can I insert a revision date at the bottom of each topic and have that automatically updated each time the topic is revised?

Hi harooki2.
Insert a date field to the topic (Insert > Field > Date). If you want it added to most/all topic, add this to a template footer and apply this to the topics.

Hi gents

One thing to be careful with about the date field is the auto update option. If it is left enabled, it opens the door to the possibility that you will actually change a topic perhaps on April 3, and the date correctly reflects the update. But maybe on May 5, you accidentally open the topic, realize you didn't really wish to change it, and open the correct topic. Using the field and auto update, the topic would then incorrectly reflect May 5.
