I need to re-install Captivate 2 but do not see it available on the Adobe website. Is it available?

I don't believe it is available from Adobe any longer. Sorry. If you have the registration numbers you were issued, perhaps you can find someone here who still has the "Setup" file ...

~best of luck to you~

Just found the "setup" for Captivate 2 on my own external hard drive. If you want it, drop me an email and I will give you instructions on how to retrieve it.

If you bought it online, you should be able to see it in your account and
available for download.

Please explain to the member what "account" you are referring to, Howard; what it is, and how she or he might locate it. Does the URL to that account depend on the localization version, or will it be at the same location for everyone?

Walther, I am talking about the user account - the account you sign in under
when you purchase online. If he didn't purchase online he won't have one.

So - to repeat myself, where might that account be found? Your suggestion to go to an "account" with which many (most?) are unfamiliar isn't really helpful unless they know how to find that account ... and most do not. I didn't bring the subject up, and am only asking for clarification, which is no more than you routinely and enthusiastically require of others.

Aside and off-topic: I apparently struck a sore point with the inadvertent use of (only) your surname. I didn't mean to be disrespectful. It was very late at night and I probably was thinking of "Howard" as a first-name. Sorry for the unintended but apparent offense.

regards~

There's a link at the top of the Adobe web page that says "Your account".

quote:

There's a link at the top of the Adobe web page that says "Your account".
To expand, inside that link is another link to "View Order History" from which a buyer who used the download process to get his software ... or who chose to register a "box" purchase - can view one or more "Order Number" links in their history of purchases.

That won't tell them which order number is attached to which software, but if you click the order number itself, you can view details of the order including the software shipped or downloaded, the dates, and so forth.

If the product was downloaded, you will be shown an additional link from which to re-download the product. And that was what the Newsreader member "Steve Howard" was hinting at. Hopefully this additional information will provide a little more direction for readers.

Larry~
