When I try to authorize, either I get a message saying that Digital Editions cannot connect to the activation server, or it begins to authorize and never finishes... Is Adobe's server malfunctioning tonight?

"Connection Error

Digital Editions could not connect to the activation server. Please make

sure you are connected to the Internet.

To retry, click the Try Again button."

I either get this error message, or authorization begins but never ends.

I live in Sweden, and i'm trying to read an e-book I bought, with Dito.

Regards,

Erland Gadde

Ok thanks for trying to help me, Nanaky, but...

Step 5-7: Do you with "Adapt key" mean the Adapt folder? Because I see no clickable key named Adapt. The Adapt folder contains one file called ab-Standard and one subfolder "Device" containing a file called ab-Username. There nothing more I see in the Adapt folder...

Ok I tried to do what you wrote, hopefully, I did it right. This time it started to authorize, but didn't finish. The authorization is still running. What is the problem? If there was a problem with an unknown usermane or password, this should be told in an error message, right? But here, it either doesn't connect to the server or runs the procedure forever...

Perhaps it's better to reinstall Digital Editions. This is the first time I try to use use it so I won't lose anything. Any advice for which options to choose during installation?
