HTM Files Not Updating

Using RH 7.

This is driving me bonkers...

I update topic1 and topic2.

I generate primary layout.

I publish.

I goto my site.

Topic1 shows my changes.

Topic2 doesn't show my changes.

The reports show these files are being published.

In IE 7, I've changed the setting to look for a new page every time
I visit.

I've even deleted my cookies, history and temporary internet files.

I've also tried to republish all.

No difference.

Any ideas/clues on what causes some pages to show
up updated and some don't?

Thanks
Doug

Are the changes showing in the generated help, rather than the published version?

I'm sorry Peter if I'm wrong on this, still a kind of new, but if you're
talking about View Layout from the Server, then yes, the changes
are there.

Which brings up something else I don't understand...why the difference?

Hi Doug.
The generated help is the output created from your source files when you compile your project and that is displayed when you click the "View Result" button. This is different to the published output which is the actual output that has been published to the location defined in your webhelp single source layout. This is performed by clicking the "Publish" button once you have generated the output.

Just to add to Colum's reply, when you generate RH produces a complete new set of files. When you go on to publish, there is a check box that enables you to decide whether you want to just publish changed files to the server or all files.

Thats what I'm doing now, using the Publish All.
Takes a little longer, but it gets the job done.

OK but that still creates a generate folder as defined in the first field of the wizard. Check that out to see if the changes are applying there.
