Book download cannot be finished, Adobe Digital Edition freezes and must be shut down with Task Manager?

Book download from library cannot be finished, the Digital Edition " Freezes" and have to be shut down with the Task Manager every time. I have updated the program, but nothing helps. I am registered since 3 years and had no problems so far. Since one week nothing works anymore. Does somebody can help? Thank you

yes I did, have downloaded Digital Edition 4.5, but it still don't work. Thank you for helping

If you can downlaod sample files its seems a problem mit the server of the library and the security details of your mac.

I did not download sample files but the newest version of Digital Edition. I could download 2 Books  using apple help. It seems to be a problem with apple. I did send a report to them and hope that they answer very soon. I will then post it here.
