Our team is having trouble saving a file back for a colleague. We have been working on a large catalog file in Adobe CS In-Design and we would like to share it with a colleague who does not have CS. They are working in CS6. When we try to save it as a idml file In-Design crashes. Can you offer an assistance?
CS6 is part of Creative Cloud and I advise you to work in that version if you need to provide CS6 files to clients.
To workaround the current problem, install CS6 and open the INDD file from CC. That should trigger a feature that will offer to convert it for you.
Thanks for the idea - I tried this and it still would not convert the file. Not sure what is happening.
Sounds like the file is damaged (in which case it's a ticking time bomb, anyway). Try moving the pages to a new file.
