Hi

I am trying to save the results from my quiz on localhost in captivate 5, I have followed adobe's instruction which can be found at the following link:

http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/2010/08/reporting-the-quiz-results-to-a-local-server.html

The quiz seems to connect to the InternalServerReporting.php file without any problems but no new files or folders are getting created. I am publishing my quizzes to my C:\ drive and the InternalServerReporting.php file is stored in the root of localhost.

Any help with what might be stopping the script storing the results would be greatly appreciated.

Hi simonmcm,

Though you have mentioned that you have referred to the adobe's instruction but it would be really helpful if you can check the following things to ensure that the set up is proper.

1. Check whether the WAMP server is running or not.
2. Place the InternalServerReporting.php file inside the root folder i.e. [InstallDirectory]/wamp/www/
Check that the php script which you have placed in the root is accessible  from the web browser.
i.e. type http://localhost/InternalServerReporting.php in your web browser and check that the file is accessible.
3. Check your write permission to the folder where you have placed the InternalServerReporting.php.

4. While configuring the Internal Server in Adobe Captivate ,enter the server address as you have typed in step2 in the "Configure the Internal Server"  section.
4. If all the above are working properly for you then please let us know what is the "Status Message" you are getting  when you are trying to post the result.
5. Finally in which Operating System you are facing this issue.

Thanks,

Subhransu
