My PC is still under Win XP (don't want to change although unsopported) and Flashplayer installer gives me a "Connection Error"... Other than upgrading the O.S., what can I du to obtain a working Flashplayer?

Hi,

Do you have any of the following:

  • proxy server?
  • anti-virus installed? If so, which one?
  • Firewall enabled?

I'll need to view the install log files to investigate further.  Please upload the Adobe_ADM.log and Adobe_GDE.log files saved at C:\Documents and Settings\<YourUserID>\Local Settings\Temp\Adobe_ADMLogs to cloud.acrobat.com using the How to share a document instructions or some other file sharing service of your choice that does not require a log in to obtain the files.

You can also try the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows 7 and earlier page in the 'Still having problems' section, but please do provide the requested information and log files so that we can identify what is causing the 'Connection error'.

Thank you.
