I have PE 8 and installed it on a new laptop with 4K resolution. All the icons and text is microscopic. Changing the resolution doesn't make it better and in fact, messes up some other programs on my laptop. Does PE 14 work on a computer with 4K resolution? I don't want to waste my money if it won't work right!
Yes, PSE14 supports high dpi monitors.
The best way to know (apart from asking in this forum ) to see if a software will work in your own setup is to download and install the trial version (full functionality for 30 days). No risk to waste your money or have the trouble of to ask for a refund.
There are preference choices in PSE13 & PSE14 which have three possible settings
As Michel suggests, I suggest you use the free trial for 30 days. You can download from this link and that will give you the option to evaluate whether it suits your monitor. After installing PSE14 you must go to Expert mode and install the 14.1 update from the Help menu.
Then go to preferences. See my image. After you choose 200% you must click OK, close the editor and re-launch again for the settings to take effect.
I will download trial now. Was hoping that I didn't have to purchase new version! Thanks for the info.
