Default for .acsm files

I can't for the life of me get my PC to make ADE the default program for .acsm files, which I am told I need to do in order to read books downloaded from NetGalley.  My computer doesn't show ADE as an option and won't let me go to it manually.  I have wasted 2 hours of my life on this already.  Please HELP.
