How do I get my .exe file for windows design standard 6 (non-cloud version)? When I follow download instructions I get the 2 gig .7z file but nothing to extract it with and apparently there is supposed to be a 2nd file that is an .exe. How do I get that 2nd file?

Download & Install instructions https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003339 may help
-includes a link to go to a page to download Adobe programs if you don't have a disc or drive
-you will need to enter your original serial number during install for non-Cloud programs
-or kglad links in reply #1 here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2081216 may help

Thanks for trying to help John. But little of the information applies when that download process ends before I get the set-up.exe file.
Download Creative Suite 6 applications
Clearly show 2 of 2 files for Windows English International verision. However each time I run this download link I only get 1 or 2 files -- the .7z and not the .exe
It would be nice if Adobe itemized the 2 files with separate URLs. Then a person could be sure what is and isn't working.
Other ideas?

Wait!
Now it might be working! Perhaps 3rd attempt is the charm? I can see that I'm getting the exe file this time.

That is exactly how the download links are presented. Are you not seeing two files for download?

John,
I realize what confused me now. Notice (following URL I provided) that when
you read the table like a table, the 2nd file "2 of 2" in the Windows
column looks like it corresponds to (as in, is on the same row) to a file
that would be specific to a Japanese Language version.
Apparently each file version works for a block of languages. Thanks for you
help.

I've seen others interpret the information that way too.
I've always viewed the links as applicable to the groups of languages on the left hand side.
At least you've now got it working.
