Hi,
I have just installed Digital Editions 2.0 on Windows 7 32-bit. The program starts from the shortcut, but when I click any of the menu buttons, the application crashes with an ArgumentOutOfRange error. Has anyoen encountered anything like this?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Kind wishes, Patrick
Thanks for that. Yes, V1.7.2 seems to work much better. (Come on Adobe - what's going on?)

I had something a bit similar (Win8). I can't remember now which exact error it was.
Clicking 'Retry' usually let it proceed, but still not behaving properly.
ADE 2.0 behaved much worse in various ways if my Sony PRS-350 was plugged in.
Uninstalling ADE 2.0 and installing version 1.7.2 solved all my issues.

Thank you for that reply. Do you know where I can download V1.7.2? I can't find it anywhere.

Version 1.7.2 is a little difficult to find,
I found it for PC at http://www.tucows.com/preview/853736/Adobe-Digital-Edition-For-EBooks
I'm not sure where there is a Mac version.

Others are having issues with ADE2.0 as well.
I had a thread http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1111732?tstart=0
I misnamed it 'plug in second eBook reader, can't read library book on PC', as I didn't know it was an ADE2.0 (+PRS-250+Overdrive) issue when I started it.
Also, people are having Nook problems with it: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/626420

I had issues with Sony PRS-350 and ADE 2.0, especially when used with Overdrive library books.
A very helpful response from a librarian on my thread http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1111732?tstart=0 (search for 'mattrweaver1')
said that libraries were having lots of issues with users of ADE 2.0, and mentioned the Nook specifically.
You could try installing version 1.7.2 instead.
That resolved my issues with the Sony, and mattrweaver1 hinted their Nook problems only began with ADE 2.0, so may well work properly with the Nook.

Adobe Digital 4.5 freezes up nearly every time I start it
The library uses it to download books...
something I only do when I have a LOT of time (to waste) to restart it again and again....

The tucows link previously posted now seems to hold version 2.0, which along with version 3.0, crashed every time I clicked on the menu... nice one Adobe!
I managed to find version 1.7.2 however here: Adobe Digital Editions Download which worked for me.
