When I try to open a book on my Nook that was downloaded from the library, I get the error message "loan token not found". What does this mean and how do I open the book?
"loan token not found" its a problem with the eBook download itself. Can you open the File when open it in Digital Edition before you download it into the reader?

I would really appreciate it if someone can provide any suggestions to solve this problem!
I'm having the same issue: Loan token not found. This message shows in my device when trying to open an eBook borrowed from a library.
I just reinstalled Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.10 on Windows 8.1.
I also first reset my NOOK GlowLight erasing everything.
The computer and e-reader are both authorized with the same account (confirmed looking at the long number in the authorization info).
The library eBook opens fine in ADE on the computer, when selecting it from the computer's bookshelf list and also when selecting it from the list in the NOOK.
In this page Frequently Asked Questions for Adobe Digital Editions, there is a distinction between copying and transferring an eBook under item: Can I transfer eBooks that I have already purchased or downloaded to another computer?
But, I don't find a "transfer" option in the ADE user interface.
Based on that distinction, this help page is wrong: Transfer eBook to eReader in Adobe Digital Editions. In my ADE there isn't anything called Transfer. It's just copy. When dragging a book to the device, a popup window says that it is copying.
I also found this Digital Editions Help | Get started with Adobe Digital Editions, which doesn't provide any more useful info.
Thank you in advance for any help!
- Edgardo.
