If I allow the automatic installation of Flashplayer and other Adobe products, will the free tryouts (McAfee etc.) be installed along with the update?

Hi,

I presume you are referring to distributing Flash Player within your organization.  If so, not if you license Flash Player and obtain the offline installers. I can provide a more detailed reply if I know more about your specific use case.

No not anymore. I used to deploy in that manner when I had my company. Nowadays I'm just either letting the Acrobat Updater (Windows) do the job automatically or do it my self manually. Whena updating manually I have the option to uncheck the box regarding free tryouts like McAfee etc. When updating automatically I won't be able to make any such choices.

Therefore I'm wondering whether the automatic option does install the tryouts too.

Hi,

The offline installers are posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows 7 and earlier page in the 'Still having problems' section.

If you're not aware, Flash Player does support Background Updates.  When a system is opted into background updates Flash Player checks for an update once per day.  If an update is available, it is downloaded and installed silently, in the background with no user interruption.
