Hi,

I have a data feed that is in REA xml format that is updated hourly by an external real estate source through FTP (http://www.desktop.com.au/). My question is what is the best way to display the xml data in a BC website? javascript, api, or third party solutions? keeping in mind the ease of structuring the resl estate listing layout and the loading of property datas. Any idea would be great! Thanks!

Hi there,

I think that the best and easiest way to consume an XML feed and display it on your site is with https://developers.google.com/feed/v1/.

Cheers,

Mario

I looked at desktop.com.au and they don't seem to advertise any APIs on

their site. So even if they have one it'll be poor.

But if you have an XML file somewhere which is regularly updated we can

pull it in, consume it and push it across to a web app on your BC site.

Send me an email or submit a contact form on our site with details.

Cheers,

M

How is this possible? using json? liquid? I'd be interested in learning what the process is to implement such a solution that still uses the BC web app module

Hi Mario,

Looking to setup a similar thing. Interested in getting a price off you for pulling in the XML data and populating web app items.

Cheers

Ian
