I've downloaded Adobe Digital Editions onto my Nexus tablet and when I try to download the protected file (from a publishing company that instructs this is the only way to access this book, through ADE) I keep getting the same error message: Unable to Download Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT-READY I got frustrated and finally downloaded ADE onto my laptop and successfully accessed the book there but I do not wish to read a book on my laptop from home.

I've seen other similar questions in the community forums but they only address what to do when either using a MAC of a PC, which doesn't help my tablet situation. Any help would be appreciated!!! I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if my device just isn't compatible.

Sorry seems not right this info in your discription. In this case uninstall Digital Edition and remove the Digital Edition folder over the File System. Then install again.
