All,

I was wondering if anyone has experienced my problem. I have managed to successfully implement a background update solution however, after a successful update the  Flashplayerupdateservice.exe is also removed from the "Macromed\Flash" folder. The service and scheduled tasks are also removed. This means that the future Background Updates will not occur anymore as there is no service to look for the update. I was wondering if anyone knows why the above file gets removes.

Some more information:

Hi,

We'll need to full log file, with SAU Verbose Logging enabled to troubleshoot further.  Please do the following:

  1. Enable SAU Verbose Logging (SilentAutoUpdateVerboseLogging=1)
  2. Go through your deployment process
  3. Update Flash Player using Background Update
  4. Upload the entire FlashInstall.log to cloud.acrobat.com using the instructions at How to share a document and post the link to the uploaded file in your reply.  Also, please provide the following information:

Please also provide the following information:

  1. Operating system
  2. How are you initially deploying Flash Player to the client?
  3. How are you executing the Background Update service?

Thank you.
