converting a pdf into a word document

I'm working on a pdf document that needs to be converted into Word which I have done but looking at the word document, the formatting turns out to be worse.  the font and size, I can easily change but does anyone know what functions to use so that my word document can be more clearer with the english words itself.

PDF documents generally don't preserve the formatting used by whatever software created them, so they're a lossy process. You'll have a much easier time if you can find the original source document to work from.
