Audio Feature Needed

A needed feature is the ability to jump to the next slide, or hold the current slide, while recording audio in Continuous Play. Then, yiou could record from the first slide to the last without interruption, but be able to determine when each new slide started. The problem I have with recording individual slides is that my voice does not have that nice flow it would if it were continuous.

This is my first (second) time posting here, is this an appropriate place to make this suggestion, and are there any workarounds, such as recording continuous to a wav file, then cut/paste into Captivate slides as desired.
