Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) issue [Windows 10 Pro]

Hey guys, I have been having a little issue regarding the rendering settings in Premiere Pro CC.

When I create a new project I can select the type of rendering as Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) but, when I restart my computer and open the project file I see this message:

"This project was last used with Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) which is not available on your system. Mercury Playback Engine Software Only will be used."

After that I am no longer able to change the rendering setting back to Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) for GPU acceleration.

I tried using the manual method of adding my card in the "cuda_supported_cards.txt" but no such file exists in the directory.

Here is the link to the method: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/629557

      Here are my specs:

      CPU: i7 4810mq quad core

      GPU: Quadro k2100M

      RAM: 16gb 1600mhz

My laptop is a Lenovo w541 mobile workstation

My GPU drivers are up to date and just reinstalled them yesterday.

      I would appreciate any help,

      Thanks.

Quick update, when I try to create a new project I am not able to choose the rendering setting any more. It used to work but, now its just locked in mercury Playback Engine Software Only
