I'm going to the website adobe to download the Flash player for debian (Ubuntu) faced such a problem (screenshot below):

Image_Date_2016-05-09_19:57:57.jpg

I solved this problem as follows:
1. Version chosen .rpm (RedHut) and downloaded it;
2. changed .rpm to .deb file the following commands:

     install alien:

     sudo -k apt-get install alien

     transform from .rpm file to .deb file with the following command:

     alien --to-deb package.rpm

3. install the .deb package:

     sudo dpkg -i package.deb

basically it is all. I hope this issue will soon decide adobe team!

Hi,

I am not able to reproduce the issue.  I suspect you'll need to configure some setting in your system to use that link correctly.

The best option to install Flash Player on Ubuntu is to use the Ubuntu Software Center app and search for 'Flash'

I apologize, I totally missed 'Debian' in your post.  While Debian is a very popular distro, based on Ubuntu, it isn't officially supported.  Supported operating systems and browser are listed at Adobe Flash Player | Tech specs .   Another option is to use the .tar.gz file. and post them to the appropriate plugins directory for the browser you are using.  The tar.gz file is posted for just this purpose...when users have a non-supported Linux distro and none of the supported package formats work on that distro.

Yes, you are correct my mistake.

if the solution you found works for you, then go ahead an use it. You can always file a bug/feature request at https://bugbase.adobe.com for a .deb package.  Other people who are interested in a .deb package can vote on it as well.

Hi,

Please refer to FlashPlayer - Debian Wiki  and SourcesList - Debian Wiki  to add the contrib repo to the sources.list file and install Flash Player using apt-get, from the command, and the flashplugin-nonfree package.  This will install the latest NPAPI plugin for Linux.
