Check your file type. I am guessing it is an .ai file which is not web compatible. If it is a .ai file you need to open int in Illustrator and convert to .jpg, .gif, .png or .svg to work in a web browser.
Can you provide the image number?
I have downloaded the following images, and had trouble uploading all of them to Wordpress:
All images have downloaded to my laptop in .jpeg format.
I haven't had any trouble uploading them to other sites, such as LinkedIn, just WordPress, which is where I need them the most.
I have tried uploading them using different browsers, such as Firefox & Internet Explorer, and I still get the same error which says, "HTTP error".
It is most likely a file size limit. The standard size for images on a PHP server required for Wordpress is 2MB. If you are using the images right from Adobe Stock without downsizing for the web it will not upload to your Wordpress Hosting.
The images right from Stock are a high resolution at 300 dpi and the files sizes can be quite large. Much too large for websites without optimizing them first. Be sure your image files are under 2mb in file size and it should work fine. Even at 2mb that's quite large for the web.
Open your image in an image editing software and at least change the dpi from 300 to 75. Ultimately in addition resize the image to the final display size. But changing the dpi from 300 to 75 should solve your Wordpress problem.
Thank you - it didn't look like file size was the issue but as soon as I decreased it it worked.
I appreciate your help!
Excellent, glad it's solved. Good luck with your projects! :-)
