I am working in Presenter 11 with PowerPoint 2013.  I created a Presenter quiz and when the quiz is failed the continue button doesn't work.  I tried using the "go to slide" option mentioned in another post to go to the beginning of the quiz and it didn't work.  I have a slide after the quiz as well which was a solution mentioned in another thread.  The quiz is set to infinite attempts if failed. Our team has tried everything we can think of and can't get this to work.  Has anyone had success??

Thanks!

Hi Jenni,

If you remove the infinite attempts and give it some random high value, it would meet your requirement because then you have the option to redirect the learner to a slide before quiz with the help of Action to be triggered on Quiz fail.

Also the other question you asked is not clear completely, but once a learner completes the quiz, whether he/she passes/fails the quiz, it will be reported to LMS if you have reporting enabled.

Please mark this answer as correct if you find it helpful.

Hi Jenni,

The reason continue button does not work is because under your quiz settings, you have the required field set  as "Pass required- The user must pass this quiz to continue" (See below screenshot), which means until the learner passes the quiz, he/she cannot move to further slides post quiz.

I would suggest you to change it to "Required- The user must take the quiz to continue" for your case.

Thank you Zeeshan!  If we want the learner to retake the quiz if they don't pass how do we handle that?  If i mark the quiz as complete only they can move forward without a passing score or will that be picked up by the LMS?

It is also worth noting that when you allow multiple attempts on a quiz at the content level (Presenter) as opposed to the server level, then the content will only report to your LMS solution when the user either passes the quiz or fails it the allowed number of times. So, with the number of attempts set to infinite or a very high number, odds are you will only be getting the data of when the users pass the quiz.

If you only allow a single failure at the content level but infinite attempts at the server level, then the content will report each failure. They will have to re-access the training to take it a second time, but you will have a record of every attempt they made for that training.

This may not be an issue for you, but it is worth understanding.
