Problem accessing ebook with Adobe login credentials

I am adding another question about problems accessing purchased books with my Adobe login information. After reinstalling my OS, reinstalling Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorizing my computer, I can only access 2 of 12 listed books. I have no other ID, and each time I try to open a book and reenter my login information, it keeps spitting back: "The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try again."

I tried asking for online help and the specialist sent me to a forum posting with a similar question that was unanswered, and ended with the advice "Your best bet may be to try a DRM stripper such as epubee (google it)."

This is might have been the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The specialist then told me that although the other similar posts were unanswered, mine would be answered.

I am frustrated and angry that I trusted Adobe with my purchases, then, when I reached an actual person who could look up my account, they redirected me to the forums.

Also, the error message should have a "Please" before "try again." Perhaps I am nitpicking harshly because I can't access my purchases, but almost all the other online services I subscribe to sound more polite.

Then should it work. Have you used a new download of the eBook or used the download of the old device?
