Change email on adobe digital editions

I downloaded the update of my adobe digital editions and now I can't download books from my library.  I have tried to erase the device but the email is my old email and it won't allow me to change it to the new email.  What do i do?qY

Thanks John,  I have already done that and chatted with two staff.  They both told me they can't help and to the forums for answers and they gave me this link

Your account information is held in the Adobe system, so no other user in an open forum is going to be able to help

The only thing I can suggest is to completely deactivate your old account (which, unfortunately, may also require Adobe chat) and then create a completely new account with the correct information
