UNable to download books to Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 0r 3.0

I am unable to download books to my Koboglo from the Public Library I use. I check out the book which launches Adobe Digital but the book does NOT appear in Adobe Digital. If I connect my Kobo this appears under devices in th correct place.

Both my PC & Kobo are authorised for Adobe.

The process worked well until I reluctantly upgraded to Windows 10. This failed & I rolled back to my original Windows 8.1 since when I have been unable to download a book to my PC.

Help please?

We are many having trouble with ADE for more than a week now and no news from Adobe.  We dont know if they are working on the problem.  I have tried everything people thought of in these forums but nothing works   Still waiting on a solution.

Thanks nice to know it's not just me.

I will have to keep trying for a solution with Adobe but am not too confident. They don't seem very supportive of ADE.

Hi thanks for the tip. Thought at first it was going to work but see below!

I opened ADE went to preferences unchecked Library Sync Option and OK'd.

Then downloaded book, connected Kobo which appeared under Devices, book appeared but ADE froze and nothing responded. Had to shut down PC to close ADE.

Tried again and nothing happened.

Uninstalled ADE and reinstalled it.

ADE still shows unsync Library Option so downloaded book.

ADE said downloading book but nothing appears but Kobo appears under devices.

ADE frozen again.

Did I do everything correctly or am I missing something?

Hi have tried several times again with sync checked and unchecked.

Still nothing - hope someone or Adobe can come up with a solution very soon.

This is getting very frustrating!

LATEST

Hi

Still unable to download. Have updated again to Windows 10 & had various suggestions from Windows forum none of which have worked.

One was to run ADE in compatibility mode but this seems to have messed everything up involving ADE.

When I download ADE 3.0 or 4.5 ADE loads then starts to show "loading library". This goes on forever but nothing happens.

Looks like Kobo is a dead loss and a waste of money.

Anybody else come across this new issue of "loading library"?

No idea what it means.

Anybody making progress????
