Hello,

My Illustrator is completely useless after latest update. It just closes automatically after two-three seconds of opening.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but the issue remains.

My specs:

AMD FX-6300

12GB DDR3

Radeon HD 7970

Running Windows 10 Pro x64.

Fixed it on my own.

Here is what I did, in order someone else wants to fix the same situation too:

  1. I uninstalled Illustrator
  2. Then I went and manually deleted all Illustrator folders in (wherever I could find):
    1. %appdata%
    2. %localappdata%
    3. %programdata%
    4. Program Files\Adobe
    5. Program Files (x86)\Adobe
  3. Then I deleted EVERYTHING that had the word "Illustrator" in the name in the Regedit. I basically opened regedit.exe and searched for the word "Illustrator" and deleted everything I could find, EXCEPT one or tw

No, and the funny part is that all the other CC apps are working. Currently I have Photoshop, PremierePro, Indesign and Audition and they all work just fine. It's just Illustrator that has this problem.

Nothing works. Tried everything that was posted there. Still no solution.

This is all I get while opening Illustrator. No errors. No nothing. It just closes and that's it.

The copy/paste of the "amtlid.dll"  did not fix my issue.  I don't know for 100% certain if I'm experiencing the same problem as everyone else.  My symptoms are so very close.  I can launch Illustrator, it seems stable, maybe even get some work accomplished...  It's hanging / freezing on me when I attempt a copy command, or maybe a paste...

I have this issue, similar to how you've described.

Running AI 2015.3, on Windows 10.  The occasional copy/paste command will cause the bounding box of the object to disappear, but the object will appear to remain selected (the border of the object remains highlighted in the layer color).  Clicking off the object, or choosing "Select...Deselect" has no effect.

Choosing File...Exit will close the file, but will not close Illustrator - have to click the X in top right corner to get out of AI.

Hello, the computer may not meet the graphics requirements, it is not supporting the program and that is why errors occur ... what characteristics does your computer have?
